Meet Tampa Optometrist, Dr. John Mertzlufft
Dr. Mertzlufft is an Optometrist in Tampa providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Mertzlufft provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Mertzlufft is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Mertzlufft is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
Dr. Mertzlufft works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Mertzlufft's dedication to continuing education that our Tampa patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Meet Tampa Optometrist, Dr. Kelly Chambers
Kelly Chambers, O.D. received her BS in visual sciences and Doctor of Optometry from Salus University. She received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Delaware. She then went on to do a year of small RNA research.
Dr. Chambers did externship rotations at the Baltimore VA Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Katzen Eye Group, all in Maryland, where she focused on treating glaucoma and ocular disease. She specialized in low vision at Salus University.
Dr. Chambers enjoys spending time with her family and watching the Phillies. She and her husband just welcomed their first child in August. They are the proud new parents of a baby boy.
