Meet Tampa Optometrist, Dr. John Mertzlufft

Dr. Mertzlufft is an Optometrist in Tampa providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.

As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Mertzlufft provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Mertzlufft is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Mertzlufft is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.

Dr. Mertzlufft works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Mertzlufft's dedication to continuing education that our Tampa patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.


Meet Tampa Optometrist, Dr. Kelly Chambers

Dr. Kelly Chambers is a dedicated optometrist who is committed to providing exceptional eye care to her patients. She received her Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences and her Doctor of Optometry from Salus University. Prior to this, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware. Dr. Chambers furthered her expertise by conducting a year of small RNA research, enhancing her understanding of the complexities of visual health.

During her training, Dr. Chambers completed externship rotations at the Baltimore VA Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Katzen Eye Group in Maryland. These experiences honed her skills in treating glaucoma and ocular diseases. She also specialized in low vision at Salus University, equipping her with the knowledge to support patients with significant visual impairments.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Chambers enjoys spending quality time with her husband Zane and their two children, Jackson and Maggie. The Chambers family is also completed by their two dogs, Winnie and Brownie, and a cat named Peanut. In her leisure time, Dr. Chambers loves watching the Phillies.

Dr. Chambers is passionate about eye health and is dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal vision and overall well-being.


Meet Tampa Optometrist, Dr. Gregory Lieb

Dr. Gregory Lieb is a distinguished graduate of Tampa Jesuit High School and St. Francis University in Pennsylvania, where he attended on a full academic and athletic scholarship as a member of the Division I men's soccer team. He earned his optometric degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston and completed a prestigious residency in ocular disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, consistently ranked among the top ophthalmology hospitals in the nation.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Lieb is also an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists. With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Lieb is dedicated to helping patients maintain and improve their vision. His extensive clinical expertise and unwavering commitment to patient care set him apart in the Tampa Bay area. Additionally, Dr. Lieb is fluent in Spanish, enhancing his ability to serve our Latin patient community.

Outside the office, Dr. Lieb is a passionate supporter of Tampa Bay sports teams. He enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife, Stephanie, and their two sons.
